The Camp Harbor View Foundation is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in March 2007. The tasks of the Foundation are performed by employees of The Connors Family Office who work to promote and develop the Camp. The Foundation’s responsibilities include spearheading fundraising efforts (the Camp is supported entirely by private funding), coordinating events, and developing and maintaining relationships with Program Partners. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Jack Connors, Jr. and Peter Welsh.
CHV Fundraisers & Events
Beach Ball Gala
Camp Harbor View’s annual Beach Ball gala is a wonderful opportunity for donors and those associated with the camp to spend an evening out on Long Island. Attendees enjoy a summer night of dinner and entertainment at a transformed Camp Harbor View campus. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to invite all those who support the camp to come together, celebrate CHV’s mission and raise funds to help the children we are privileged to serve.
Harborthon 5K Road Race
We are thrilled to invite experienced runners and casual walkers alike to support Camp Harbor View and celebrate summer at our annual Harborthon 5K Road Race. For a small registration fee, participants enjoy ferry transportation to and from the island, an official 5K race course organized by DMSE Sports, and a post-race barbecue overlooking the sun setting on the Boston skyline.
Volunteer Clean-Up days
After those long Boston winters, CHV needs to be spruced up before the campers arrive! A number of volunteers dedicate an afternoon before the first session to work on landscaping, gardening, and beach clean-up, as well as a multitude of indoor clean-up projects, such as painting and window washing. A well-deserved lunch follows.
