CHV Parents
The Camp Harbor View experience does not have to end for you and your child come September. Once a camper, your child is part of the CHV family and there are many ways to stay connected after the camp season. We hold monthly reunions in the off-season for the campers at neighborhood Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and offer social service support for those families that seek it. There are also family events held throughout the year, such as the annual Holiday Celebration in December. Keep an eye out for invitations in the mail or check back here to the camp calendar for reunion and event dates you and your camper can attend.
In addition to reunions and off-season programs for the campers, we’ve also created ways to help you as a parent. In the fall of 2009, Camp Harbor View established the Parent Connection, a confidential support group for parents of Camp Harbor View campers mediated by Greg Stoddard, CHV’s Social Worker and Director of Operations. The mission of this effort is to provide support to you as a parent through the challenges that many face while raising children in addition to life’s daily obstacles.
Camp Harbor View is not only a resource for your child, but for you as well. You as a parent are also a part of the Camp Harbor View family and have our support. It is important to us that our relationship with you and your camper remain strong throughout the camp season and outside of camp as well. Together, we can work to give your child the best experience possible through their middle school years, high school years, and beyond.
